Privacy Policy:
solstride Step Tracker

Last Updated: 07/06/2026

This Privacy Policy explains how udephi LLC (“we,” “our,” or “us”) collects, uses, stores, discloses, and protects information in connection with SolStride Step Tracker (the “App”), an iOS step, distance, goal, widget, and achievement tracking application.

SolStride is designed to be privacy-focused. The App does not require account registration, does not contain third-party advertising, does not use third-party analytics SDKs, and does not operate its own server-side user account system.

By using SolStride, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy.

1. Summary of Our Privacy Practices

SolStride is built around the following privacy principles:

  • We do not require you to create an account.

  • We do not sell your personal information.

  • We do not share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

  • We do not use Apple Health or HealthKit data for advertising, marketing, profiling, or data mining.

  • We do not use third-party advertising SDKs.

  • We do not use third-party analytics SDKs.

  • We do not collect your precise location.

  • We do not collect your contacts, photos, messages, microphone data, or camera data.

  • Apple Health access requires your explicit permission.

  • You can revoke Apple Health permissions at any time through iOS settings.

  • App data may be stored locally on your device.

  • Non-HealthKit App settings and preferences may sync through Apple iCloud if iCloud is enabled on your device.

  • Purchases and subscriptions, if offered, are processed by Apple.

2. Information We Collect or Process

The information SolStride handles depends on how you use the App and which permissions you grant.

A. Information You Voluntarily Provide

SolStride does not require you to provide your name, email address, phone number, or other contact information to use the App.

We may receive information from you if you voluntarily contact us for support, feedback, bug reports, refund-related questions, or other communications. This may include:

  • Your email address

  • Your name, if you choose to provide it

  • The contents of your message

  • Screenshots or files you choose to send

  • Device, App version, or diagnostic details you choose to include

We use this information only to respond to you, provide support, investigate issues, improve the App, maintain business records, and comply with legal obligations.

B. Apple Health and HealthKit Data

With your explicit permission, SolStride integrates with Apple Health through Apple’s HealthKit framework.

Depending on the App version and the permissions you grant, SolStride may request access to read certain Apple Health data types, including:

  • Step count

  • Walking step length

SolStride uses this data to provide App functionality, including:

  • Displaying daily step progress

  • Estimating walking distance

  • Showing progress toward daily goals

  • Powering widgets

  • Calculating streaks and achievements

SolStride does not use Apple Health or HealthKit data for advertising, marketing, third-party profiling, sale, or unrelated data mining.

SolStride does not sell, rent, or trade Apple Health or HealthKit data.

SolStride does not disclose Apple Health or HealthKit data to advertising networks, data brokers, or analytics providers.

SolStride does not intentionally store raw Apple Health records, raw HealthKit samples, or personal health information in iCloud. Apple Health remains the source of Apple Health data, subject to your Apple Health permissions, Apple Health settings, device settings, and Apple’s own privacy practices.

Apple Health data is controlled by Apple and by your device settings. You can grant, deny, or revoke SolStride’s access to Apple Health data at any time through the Apple Health app or iOS Settings. If you revoke HealthKit access, SolStride may be unable to display accurate step, distance, widget, goal, or achievement information.

C. Local Device Data and Caching

To make SolStride faster and more reliable, the App may store certain information locally on your device. This may include:

  • App preferences

  • Unit settings

  • Daily goals

  • Cached step and distance summaries

  • Achievement progress

  • Streak progress

  • Widget display values

  • App state needed to improve loading speed

  • Subscription entitlement status

  • Notification preferences

Local caching helps the App load more quickly, reduce repeated HealthKit queries, support widgets, and preserve your App experience.

Local data remains on your device unless you delete it, reset App data where available, uninstall the App, or modify relevant Apple device settings.

D. Widget Data

If you use SolStride widgets, the App may store limited local data in an Apple-provided shared App Group container so the widget can display your progress.

Widget data may include current or recent step progress, distance estimates, goal progress, and other display values needed for the widget.

This widget data is used only to provide SolStride widget functionality.

E. iCloud Sync

If iCloud is enabled on your device and SolStride supports sync, SolStride may use Apple iCloud to sync non-HealthKit App settings and app-generated preferences across your Apple devices.

Synced data may include items such as:

  • App settings

  • Unit preferences

  • Display preferences

  • Daily goal settings

  • Notification preferences

  • Other non-HealthKit App configuration data used to keep SolStride consistent across your devices

SolStride does not intentionally store raw Apple Health records, raw HealthKit samples, or personal health information in iCloud. SolStride does not use iCloud as a repository for raw Apple Health data. Apple Health remains the source of HealthKit data, subject to your Apple Health permissions and device settings.

iCloud sync is provided by Apple and is associated with your Apple ID and iCloud account. We do not operate Apple iCloud. Apple’s handling of iCloud data is governed by Apple’s terms, privacy policies, and iCloud settings.

SolStride does not use iCloud synced data for advertising, marketing, sale, or third-party profiling.

You may manage iCloud availability and App access to iCloud through your Apple device settings. If iCloud is disabled, some cross-device sync features may not work.

F. In-App Purchases and Subscriptions

SolStride may offer paid features, subscriptions, or in-app purchases.

All purchases and subscriptions are processed by Apple through your Apple ID and the App Store. We do not collect or have access to your full credit card number, debit card number, bank account information, Apple ID password, or other payment credentials.

Apple may provide limited purchase or subscription status information to the App so SolStride can unlock paid features, restore purchases, manage entitlements, and prevent fraud.

You can manage or cancel subscriptions through your Apple ID subscription settings.

G. Notifications

SolStride may offer optional local notifications, reminders, or achievement alerts.

Notifications are optional. You can enable or disable notifications through iOS Settings.

SolStride does not use notifications for advertising or third-party marketing.

H. Diagnostics and Crash Information

SolStride does not use third-party crash reporting or analytics SDKs.

Apple may provide developers with crash logs, diagnostics, performance information, App Store performance information, or App Store-related analytics through Apple developer tools, depending on your Apple settings and Apple’s systems.

We may use information made available by Apple to identify bugs, improve performance, maintain compatibility, and improve App reliability.

3. Information We Do Not Collect

SolStride does not require or intentionally collect the following information for normal App use:

  • Advertising identifiers

  • Third-party tracking identifiers

  • Payment card numbers

  • Bank account information

SolStride does not include third-party advertising SDKs, third-party analytics SDKs, server-side user accounts, or developer-operated server sync.

4. How We Use Information

We do not sell your personal information.

We do not share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

We do not disclose Apple Health or HealthKit data to advertising networks, data brokers, or analytics providers.

We may disclose limited information only in the following circumstances:

Apple’s handling of information is governed by Apple’s own terms, privacy policies, and user settings.

B. Service Providers for Support or Business Operations

If you voluntarily contact us, we may use service providers for limited business operations such as email hosting, website hosting, or customer support communications.

Such providers may process limited information only as necessary to provide services to us and are not authorized by us to use your information for their own advertising or unrelated purposes.

C. Legal Compliance, Safety, and Rights Protection

  • Protect the security or integrity of SolStride

  • Prevent fraud, abuse, or misuse

  • Protect the rights, safety, or property of users, us, or others

D. Business Transfers

If udephi LLC is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, sale of assets, or similar transaction, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this Privacy Policy or privacy protections that are materially similar.

6. Health, Fitness, and Wellness Disclaimer

SolStride is a general fitness and wellness application. SolStride is not a medical device. SolStride does not provide medical advice. SolStride is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, monitor, or prevent any disease, medical condition, injury, or disability. Step counts, distance estimates, goals, streaks, achievements, widgets, reminders, and progress information are provided for general informational and motivational purposes only. You should consult a qualified healthcare professional before making medical, health, or fitness decisions, especially if you have a medical condition, injury, disability, or other health concern.

7. Apple Health Permissions and User Control

Apple Health permissions are controlled by you. You can manage or revoke SolStride’s access to Apple Health data at any time through the Apple Health app or iOS Settings. If you revoke Apple Health permissions, SolStride may not be able to display accurate step, distance, goal, widget, or achievement progress. Deleting SolStride from your device does not automatically delete data stored in Apple Health. Apple Health data can be managed through the Apple Health app and iOS settings.

8. iCloud Control and Device Settings

If iCloud sync is enabled, supported non-HealthKit SolStride App settings and preferences may sync across your Apple devices through Apple iCloud. You can manage iCloud settings through your device settings. If iCloud is disabled, SolStride may continue to function on a single device, but cross-device sync features may not be available. Deleting the App may not automatically delete all data stored in iCloud. You may need to manage iCloud data through Apple device settings or Apple account controls.

9. Data Retention

A. Apple Health Data

Apple Health data is managed by Apple Health and your device settings. SolStride reads Apple Health data only with your permission. SolStride does not operate a server-side database of your Apple Health data. SolStride does not intentionally store raw Apple Health records, raw HealthKit samples, or personal health information in iCloud.

B. Local App Data

Local App data may remain on your device until you delete the App, reset App data where available, clear relevant device storage, or modify device settings.

C. iCloud Data

If iCloud sync is enabled, supported non-HealthKit App settings and preferences may remain in iCloud until deleted through App functionality, device settings, iCloud settings, or Apple account controls.

D. Support Communications

If you contact us for support, we may retain your message and contact information for as long as reasonably necessary to respond, provide support, maintain records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and comply with legal obligations. You may request deletion of support communications by contacting us.
